In the only contested NHBA Board race this year, David Ruoff was elected Vice President, a leadership-track position that typically results in assuming the bar presidency after two years.

Lisa Wellman-Ally, the current President-Elect, will take office as President of the NH Bar Association at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting on June 21. The complete election results were as follows:

New Hampshire Bar Association members will receive their annual bill for membership dues the first week of June. Also included with the annual membership dues invoice is a separate invoice for the mandatory court fees established by the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Association dues and NH Supreme Court fees are due and payable 30 days form invoice date.

Please note important changes to the billing process and related due dates as noted below:

May 15: Deadline to submit membership status, email, name and address updates to Susan Lakeway, 603-715-3208, in preparation for annual dues and court fees billing.

First week of June: Dues and court fees invoices are delivered, via email from billing@nhbar.org, to member's email address on record with NHBA (delivered via US Postal Service for those without Internet/email access). Please be sure your security allows emails received from the sender, billing@nhbar.org.

First week of July: Dues and court fees payments are due and payable to the NH Bar Association 30 days from invoice date.

Sept. 1: $50 Delinquency fee assessed to all members who have not paid dues and court fees and warning of pending suspension sent to members from NHBA.

Nov. 1: Administrative Suspension for non-payment of dues and court fees. See excerpt of NHBA's Constitution, Section 6, for more information.



The NH Attorney Discipline Office is looking for a full-time, licensed attorney with at least 10 years of active law practice, including litigation and office administration, to serve as assistant general counsel. Responsibilities include investigating and assessing complaints; writing reports; some participation in hearings and oral arguments; interacting with the public; presenting at CLEs; and office administration.
