The NH Division of Personnel is looking for new members and alternate members of the NH Personnel Appeals Board to serve staggered three-year terms. Membership is by appointment by the governor and Executive Council. The board hears and decides appeals by classified state employees on employment decisions ranging from employee classification to discipline and dismissal. Board members receive $100 per diem for hearing days, but no travel reimbursement. For more info about the Board and to read its decisions, visit admin.state.nh.us/hr. United States Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli Jr. will deliver the John W. King Lecture at the New Hampshire Supreme Court on May 16. The King lecture series is co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Supreme Court and the New Hampshire Supreme Court Society. A limited number of seats are available for General Verrilli's lecture. The NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program is looking for legal and non-legal sponsors for its annual Quid Pro Bono Golf Tournament fundraiser on Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Lake Sunapee Country Club. Sponsor a tee, a hole, a cart, a contest or even the luncheon. Sponsorship opportunities range from $300 to $1,500 and include lots of good marketing exposure, in addition to supporting the provision of free legal services for low-income residents of New Hampshire.
