Informal dinners for alumni for four law schools are scheduled to follow the NHBA Midyear Meeting on Friday, March 7. Alumni from George Washington, Harvard, Northeastern and Syracuse law schools have scheduled dinners on Friday at different restaurants in Manchester. Law school dinners. Suffolk Law, University of Virginia have theirs scheduled later.

There will be a brown bag lunch for criminal law practitioners at the Rockingham County Superior Court in the jury assembly room on the second floor at noon, Thursday, March 13. Topics to be addressed:
· an explanation of the new pretrial release program for Rockingham County defendants which completely replaces the old SCRIP supervision; · procedures regarding Drug Court and New Hope probation; · issues relating to requests for defendants to turn themselves in to the jail for incarceration after the sentencing; · implementation of the continuance policy that was rolled out last year; and other procedural issues. There will also be an opportunity at the lunch to meet new Superior Court Judge David Anderson who was just assigned to Rockingham County Superior Court.

The NH Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules has announced that there will be a public information session on the proposed New Hampshire Circuit Court-District Division Small Claims Electronic Filing Pilot Rules on Friday, March 14.

On Feb. 27, the Superior Court issued Administrative Order 2014 - 004, quoted in its entirety:
TIME FOR FILING OBJECTIONS Unless otherwise expressly provided by statute, court rule or order, in all criminal cases any objection to a motion shall be filed within ten (10) days after the filing of the motion. Failure to object shall not, in and of itself, be grounds for granting the motion.
