e-Court LogoThe NH Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules is holding a public information session on the proposed New Hampshire Circuit Court-District Division Small Claims Electronic Filing Pilot Rules on Friday, March 14. Take a first look at these proposed e-filing rules (rules for the small-claims pilot will eventually be the foundation for rules on the filing of all e-Court cases.)

The NH Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Rules' annual report, released Jan. 31, contains a number of proposed new or amended rules governing all aspects of the courts. Comments are sought by the Court on these proposals, being recommended to the Court for adoption, by March 19.

An original and seven copies of all comments shall be filed if submitted by mail. Comments may also be emailed to the court at rulescomment@courts.state.nh.us.

Help End the Wait: Take a Pro Bono Case
The NHBA Pro Bono Referral Program is posting new cases weekly on the NH Bar Association website. Click on the Pro Bono icon or "word cloud" on the home page, www.nhbar.org. If you don't see a case listed in your geographic or practice area, just contact Margaret Gilsenberg to find out about additional opportunities.

NH Bar News will feature a special section on estate planning, elder law and probate in March. If you are interested in contributing an article, please contact managing editor Kristen Senz by Feb. 10. Article deadline is Feb. 24.

Bar News is the official publication of the New Hampshire Bar Association and is a member benefit. If you have comments on how Bar News does or does not benefit you, we would like to know. Please drop us a line at news@nhbar.org. Also, feel free to contact us about article ideas or topics we should cover.

To complete federal funding reports, Pro Bono urgently needs attorneys to submit their Pro Bono case disposition reports. These were sent out via email a few weeks ago. If you have not yet done so, kindly return yours right away. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Carolann Wooding. Thank you for your volunteer efforts.

Help the public and have a good time doing it - Lawline, the Bar's telephone advice line, takes place on the second Wednesday of each month. Host firms or volunteers are needed for Feb. 12 and May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Three to five attorneys answer calls and provide general advice from their homes or offices, with calls forwarded from our toll-free line. The Bar Association picks up the tab for pizza or sandwiches. Please contact Lisha Brosseau to find out more.
