9th Circuit Brown Bag - 5/16
The 9th Circuit Court Family Division in Nashua invites marital and family law attorneys to a brown bag luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 16. Practitioners are invited to bring a lunch and join Judge Leary, Judge Ryan and Judge Introcaso, Clerk Sherry Bisson, Associate Clerk Kim Bonenfant and case manager Coreen Rogers for a discussion, as well as a period of questions and answers.

Online Invoices for Bar Dues and Court Fees - 6/3
NH Bar members will receive annual bills for association dues and court fees via email the first week of June. To ensure your bills are delivered properly and in a timely fashion, please make sure your correct email address is on file. Contact Susan Lakeway with questions or to update your member information.

Members should receive a single email from the association containing two invoices, one from the Bar Association and one from the Judicial Branch. The association invoice includes dues and optional fees for section membership and donations to the NH Campaign for Legal Services.

The Judicial Branch invoice includes Supreme Court fees and, depending on your membership status, other assessments to support court-related entities. The Annual Trust Account Compliance Certificate will be sent to members via US Mail and must be returned to the Bar, unless you are a judge or have been on inactive status for the previous full year (June - May).

US Court of Appeals Accepting CJA Panel Apps - 6/10
The First Circuit Court of Appeals is accepting applications for attorneys to serve on the court's Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel. Applicants must be members of the Court bar in good standing, have a commitment to indigent defense and accept at least one CJA appellate appointment each year.

Instructions and application forms can be downloaded from the court's website and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 10.

Court Conducting Judicial Evaluations - Until 5/22
The New Hampshire Judicial Branch Circuit Court Administrative Judge routinely conducts judicial evaluations and invites you to participate in this process. The following judges are presently being evaluated:

Judge Hampe's Retirement Reception - 5/29
In celebration of Judge Richard Hampe's years on the probate bench and his upcoming retirement, a reception will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, at the 6th Circuit Court Probate Division, 163 North Main St., Concord.

Domestic Violence Conference - 6/5-6/7
Partnering for a Future Without Violence, a multidisciplinary conference on domestic violence, child abuse, human trafficking and elder abuse, will take place June 5-7 at Southern New Hampshire University. Learn more.

International Section Seeks Award Nominations - 6/15
The NH Bar International Law Section seeks nominations for the 2013 Daniel Webster International Lawyer of the Year Award.

This award honors a NH Bar member "whose contribution to international law demonstrates the spirit of Daniel Webster and whose good works help elevate the standing of the legal profession and serve as an inspiration to others."

Nominations may be made by any member of the NH Bar, with or without notice to the nominee. Submissions should include a description of the contributions made by the nominee and be sent by June 15 to Phillip J. Walker.
