Association Dues & Court Fees Invoice Online
NH Bar members will receive annual bills for association dues and court fees via email the first week of June. To ensure your bills are delivered properly and in a timely fashion, please make sure your correct email address is on file. Contact Susan Lakeway with questions or to update your member information. Members should receive a single email from the association containing two invoices, one from the Bar Association and one from the Judicial Branch. The association invoice includes dues and optional fees for section membership and donations to the NH Campaign for Legal Services. The Judicial Branch invoice includes Supreme Court fees and, depending on your membership status, other assessments to support court-related entities. The Annual Trust Account Compliance Certificate will be sent to members via US Mail and must be returned to the Bar, unless you are a judge or have been on inactive status for the previous full year (June - May).

NHBA Award Nominations Sought - By 5/10
The NH Bar's Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of members of the legal community and their contributions to the justice system and the Association. Nominations are sought for the Justice William A. Grimes Award for Judicial Professionalism, which is presented to an experienced judge who demonstrates exemplary morals, patience, calmness, coolness, and attention; the Distinguished Service to the Legal Profession Award, presented to the nominee who best exhibits service to the legal profession; and the E. Donald Dufresne Award for Outstanding Professionalism, which recognizes an attorney who demonstrates legal expertise, provides high-quality service to clients and promotes justice and the public good. Project Citizen Needs Judges - 5/24
The Project Citizen State Showcase and Hearings will be held at the Legislative Office Building in Concord on Friday, May 24. Hitting a Home Run: The 2013 NH Bar Foundation Dinner - 5/14
Green Monster aside, the NH Bar Foundation Annual Dinner will have all the charm of a major league ballgame, including the hotdogs, popcorn and soda jerk station (and two bars). Come out to root for the winners of this year's Kirby and Kenison awards - NHLA staff attorney Dan Feltes and retired NHCLU director Claire Ebel - and enjoy a fun, baseball-themed evening. Tickets for three games will be raffled - a Saturday NH Fisher Cats game and two Red Sox home games, against the Rangers and Tampa Bay. The NH Bar Foundation will also recognize Nina Gardner, former director of the NH Judicial Council, and the IOLTA Leadership Banks. All are welcome. Tickets are $75. 9th Circuit Brown Bag Event - 5/16
The 9th Circuit Court Family Division in Nashua invites marital and family law attorneys to a brown bag luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 16. Rockingham County Dinner and Annual Meeting - 5/16
The Rockingham County Bar Association will host a dinner, social event and business meeting from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at Foster's Clambake in York Harbor, Maine. Child Support Guidelines Revised
The NH Division for Child Support Services has released the annual revision of the NH Child Support Guidelines. NHBA CLE is planning a program on upcoming changes to child support guidelines, including statutory changes, from 9 a.m.-12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12. Roadmap to a Tax Controversy - 5/23
A half-day CLE program sponsored by the NH Bar Low-Income Tax Project will provide an overview of IRS-involved income-tax cases for attorneys willing to take on at least one Pro Bono tax case this year. The program includes facilitated replays of training videos created by the IRS and is approved for 4.0 NHMCLE credits. Register online.

NHWBA Celebrates 15th Anniversary - 5/9
The NH Women's Bar Association will host a celebration of its 15th anniversary at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Currier Museum of Art, 150 Ash St., Manchester. Pamela E.
