Judge Kinghorn Retirement Event - 4/29
In honor of Judge Clifford Kinghorn's retirement as justice of the 9th Circuit Court-District & Family Division-Merrimack, all are invited to an open house from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the Merrimack courthouse on Baboosic Lake Road in Merrimack. Foreclosure Clinics in Lebanon, Nashua - 4/29, 5/3
The next in a series of free clinics for homeowners who are facing foreclosure or foreclosure-related legal and financial problems is scheduled for 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, at the Kilton Public Library in West Lebanon. This clinic is open to all homeowners, regardless of income level. Another clinic is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. on Friday, May 3, at NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire, 162 Birch St., Nashua.
Clinic attendees will meet one-on-one with an attorney. Pre-registration is required. Contact frp@nhbar.org.

DOVE CLE on Unbundled Services - 4/30
Family law attorneys: A half-day seminar, "Unbundled Legal Services for Victims of Domestic Abuse - Supporting Attorney Efforts to Empower the Pro Se Litigant," is scheduled for April 30 at the Bar Center. The program is intended for experienced family lawyers who have some time to give, but who cannot commit to full-scope representation. This program is approved for 4.0 Total NHMCLE credits, 1.75 of which may be applied toward NH Ethics.

NHWBA Celebrates 15th Anniversary - 5/9
The NH Women's Bar Association will host a celebration of its 15th anniversary at 5:15 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Currier Museum of Art, 150 Ash St., Manchester.
Pamela E. Berman, shareholder at Adler Pollock & Sheehan in Boston and current president of the National Conference of Women's Bar Associations, will be the guest speaker.

Bar Foundation to Honor Nina Gardner - 5/14
The NH Bar Foundation will present a special commendation to Nina Gardner, the recently retired director of the NH Judicial Council, at its annual dinner next month. Gardner is being recognized for her commitment to strengthening justice and honoring the law and for years of support for the Bar Foundation.
Also at the dinner event, the foundation will present the Robert Kirby award to NHLA staff attorney Daniel Feltes and the Frank Rowe Kenison award to Claire Ebel, retired director of the NH chapter of the ACLU. IOLTA banks will also be recognized.
The annual dinner starts with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord. Please RSVP by Friday, April 26, to Mary White.

US Court of Appeals Accepting CJA Panel Apps - 6/10
The First Circuit Court of Appeals is accepting applications for attorneys to serve on the court's Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel. Applicants must be members of the Court bar in good standing, have a commitment to indigent defense and accept at least one CJA appellate appointment each year.
Instructions and application forms can be downloaded from the court's website in the "CJA Materials" section and must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, June 10.

The New Hampshire Judicial Branch Circuit Court Administrative Judge routinely conducts judicial evaluations and invites you to participate in this process. The following judges are presently being evaluated:
