Law Day School Visits - 5/3
To observe Law Day 2013, the Bar Association is ready to celebrate Lawyer and Judge in Every School Day. Please consider volunteering a few hours to visit a classroom and talk about our legal system. The NHBA Law Related Education program can pair you with teachers and schools interested in your visit. Sign up online.

Child Support Guidelines Revised
The NH Division for Child Support Services has released the annual revision of the state's child support guidelines. 2013 NH Child Support Guidelines.

NHBA*CLE is planning a program on upcoming changes to child support guidelines, including statutory changes, on June 12. Register for the live, in-person program or the live webcast.

NHBA Board Elections - Happening Now
The election for new members of the NH Bar Association Board of Governors takes place from April 1 to April 15. If you are an active member, you should have received an email on April 1 with instructions on how to vote using an online ballot.

Insurance Law Section Social Event - 4/10
The newly formed Insurance Law Section will hold a Spring Kick-Off Event from 5-6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 10 at the law offices of Sulloway & Hollis, PLLC, 29 School St., Concord. This event is open to any Bar member who deals with insurance law practice issues, as well as other insurance professionals interested in finding out more about the section.

Come, mingle, make new connections in this area of the law, and discuss ideas for this new section as it develops. Refreshments will be served. To attend, please RSVP to Sections Coordinator Patty Frechette by April 4. She can also be reached at (603) 715-3257.

PANH Marketing Seminar - 4/22
The Paralegal Association of New Hampshire is hosting How to Market Yourself as a Paralegal, a dinner seminar for members and nonmembers scheduled for 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Fratello's Italian Grille in Manchester.

The evening seminar, which includes dinner, is $45 for PANH members and $55 for nonmembers; the student rate is $40. This seminar will be accredited for 1.5 hours of credits by the National Association of Legal Assistants and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations. Please register by April 12 at www.panh.org.

Circuit Court Forms Revised
Circuit Court Administrative Order 2012-06 states that parties and counsel may agree to accept copies of pleading and other communications through email correspondence. On March 25, the Circuit Court updated 69 forms to include email by agreement as an option in the certification language on the forms.

Order re: Parents' Counsel - Abuse Cases
Protocols for the appointment of parent's counsel in abuse and neglect cases when parents are indigent are set out in a new superior court administrative order 2013-003.

UNH Law Hosts PAD Rules Info Session - 4/10
Bar members are invited to attend a "PAD Rules Primer" featuring Superior Court Associate Justice Kenneth Brown and Julie Howard, clerk of Strafford County Superior Court. This program is informational but informal; there is no CLE credit for this program. The event is sponsored by the UNH School of Law Student Bar Association.

The NH Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence is seeking an executive director. The search committee is accepting applications through April 12. Job posting.

6th Circuit Brown Bag - 4/17
A Brown Bag Lunch for attorneys working on juvenile matters will be held this month at the 6th Circuit Court in Concord. The gathering is scheduled for noon on Wednesday, April 17, in the library at the Concord courthouse. Judges and masters will attend. Contact [email protected] with questions.

Bar News to Feature Real Property Law - May
NH Bar News will feature a special section on real property law in May and is now accepting article proposals. Articles should be of interest to a general legal audience and focus on developments in the law, practical tips and/or areas where real property law intersects with other practice areas.

Submit article topics now to Managing Editor Kristen Senz. Outlines will be due April 12, with completed articles due April 26. For more information, please check out the Bar News Submission Guidelines.
