Melt your stress

Come and discover your personal style of meditation! Explore various practices of relaxation, breath, light, sound, and movement and discover the methods that work best for you.

This series is a combination of teaching, sharing, and experiential practice designed for the beginner as well as those who would like to revisit the foundations of meditation in a relaxed and non-judgmental atmosphere. All practices are geared to creating the knowledge and "knowing" necessary for bringing mindfulness into daily living, which in turn, helps support a life filled with greater balance, peace, health, harmony, and an expanded sense of self.

Facilitated by Denise Snyder-Markovich, M.Ed., L.P.C.C.
& Joan 'Taj' Leppla, M.Ed., Certified Health Counselor

pleasure
Part 1: Breath and Stillness
Life affects breath as breath affects life. Breath connects us to one another and to all living things. Breath connects us to our inner self. Breath has the potential to heal, illumine, and awaken.

Part 2: Stillness and Mindfulness
Stillness allows us to go to a quiet inner space where we may identify and connect with a part of ourselves which is normally kept just out of our awareness. In this space we discover slumbering potentials we may have forgotten existed. Remembering and embracing these potentials helps awaken one's true self.

Part 3: Mindfulness and Movement
We bring mindfulness and breath work into the more physical realm as we explore energy moving through our bodies, which helps to broaden our practice of mindfulness and bring it into our everyday lives.

Part 4: Integration
Here we bring together movement, stillness, breath, and awareness so we may practice and experience mindfulness from the quiet of our private meditation to the preparation of meals; from prayer, chant, and ritual to the laughter of a child. And, there will be chocolate!

When: Mondays (October 7, 14, 21, 28) from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Where: Insight Learning & Wellness Center, 25901 Emery Road, Suite 112, Warrensville Hts.

Joan 'Taj' Leppla Joan 'Taj' Leppla, M.Ed., is an educator, facilitator, and healing arts practitioner. She works with others in co-creating a spirit-filled existence where all life is respected and recognized as Divine purpose. A lifelong lover of nature, health enthusiast, and spiritual seeker Joan recognizes that behind nature is a living reality that is waiting to be engaged by us humans. Her conviction is that most if not all of our problems stem from the fact that we have become disconnected from nature, both within and without. Joan's style of working is practical bringing awareness, healing, and integration to all aspects of being. She helps others recognize the interplay of the material and spiritual worlds, reconcile the personal and collective, and unite the immanent and transcendent dimensions of reality.
