This course is for Special Educators, Therapists, Parents, Teachers, Physical Education Teachers and anyone else wanting to learn with ease.

What is Brain GymŪ?
Brain Gym is a program of physical activities that enhance learning ability. The activities are easy and enjoyable; they bring about rapid and often dramatic improvements in concentration, memory, reading, writing, organizing, listening, physical coordination and more.

Course Objectives
Group learning
  • Experience 26 Brain GymŪ Movements, Noticing, Body Awareness, & Balances
  • The five-step balance process
  • Experience Brain GymŪ balances for improving seeing, listening, writing, comprehension, communication, organization and focus  
  • Experience Dennison Laterality Repatterning for integration of left & right sides and the Three Dimensional Repatterning for whole-body integration
  • Learn Methods and techniques that can be used immediately with individuals, groups or for self
  • Experience balances for personal goals

There are no prerequisites for this class and no previous knowledge is required.

 Carolyn Nyland 

Carolyn is a licensed Brain GymŪ & Rhythmic Movement Training Instructor/Consultant specializing in developmental and elementary education. She realized the value of movement as a classroom teacher. After 33 years of teaching, she continues her quest for ease of learning through movement. She has studied reflexes with several instructors around the world.  

 

Carolyn offers Brain GymŪ workshops in schools, teaches Brain GymŪ 101, Rhythmic Movement, Optimal Brain Organization, and works with individual clients. She was a member of the Educational Kinesiology Board of Directors (2006 - 2010).
