This Sunday, December 16
9:30am Nonbeliever Nation: The Rise of Secular Americans
Leader: Bob Tapp. As Bob Tapp describes, "This program will focus on an important new book by the President of the American Humanist Association. How do religious and secular humanists relate to the growing number of 'None's' in today's USA? How do we restore a democratic society that has been corrupted by the anti-intellectualism and slogans of the merged Christian Right and Big Money?"
Tapp is Professor Emeritus of Humanities, Religious Studies, and South Asian Studies at The University of Minnesota,
Dean Emeritus, The Humanist Institute, New York City. He received the
Horace Mann Humanist Education Award, American Humanist Association, 2005.
10:30am Holy Holidays for Humanists
Speaker: Rev. Dr. Pam Allen-Thompson. A look at a joyful, ethical and reasonable celebration of the season. Bring a Friend!

Jeannine Kitzhaber's work depicts bird's eye views of landscapes, while Adam P. Johnson's landscapes are created with broad brush strokes from a ground level viewpoint. Kitzhaber teaches studio art at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, and lives in Coon Rapids. Johnson teaches studio art at the University of Minnesota. Both artists have had numerous shows in the Twin Cities and afar. The show continues through January 6.

Gifts for Seniors Donation Opportunity
This holiday season FUS is a donation location for Gifts for Seniors, an area nonprofit that collects new gifts for distribution to isolated seniors. More than 2,300 isolated seniors were reached last year through partner social service agencies. This is an opportunity to bring joy to someone who otherwise would be forgotten during the holidays. FUS Administrator Will Hegeman serves on the Gifts for Seniors board. Feel free to ask him questions about the organization. To learn more, check out the Gifts for Seniors website: www.giftsforseniors.org.
