always think of one bird - mountain bluebird. This is the best time to look for these blue beauties in and near the foothills.

I wanted to find some mountain bluebirds this morning because I keep missing them every

time I look. One of our regular bird walkers, and regular photo contributor, Neal Zaun said that he had some in his neighborhood yesterday and suggested we look there. Sure enough, we had great looks at the bluebirds. Thanks Neal. After it snows, bluebirds look absolutely electrified because the sunlight is hitting them directly and additionally being reflected off the snow. I always like to look for bluebirds immediately after a spring snow.
