Saturday Bird Walk - Bird Count - Nov 14, 2015
Sunny and calm. 35-50°F. 2-4 mph. 14 participants.
I forgot my camera on this lovely morning. Of course, we saw many things I would have loved to take a picture of. However, my wonderful crew of bird watchers and photographers picked up my slack and sent me many wonderful images for you all to enjoy. Thanks folks.

up on a dead tree from the weeds, I got my glasses on it, and I didn't have my camera. A few others near me saw something, but hardly a satisfying view. This bird showed an unstreaked warm brown back and a long, white supercilium (eyebrow). It sang the tea kettle song and did respond to a Carolina Wren recording, but it would not show itself but for a few brief instants. The image we are using for this morning's slide show was taken on the Saturday Bird Walk 5 ˝ years ago by Mike Blatchley. Interestingly, it was taken about ˝ mile from Sombrero Marsh. |
