August 29, 2015 Saturday Bird Walk
Warm and hazy. 85°F. 2-15 mph. 12 participants.

The hazy skies show us this morning that our region (and indeed the world) is connected to other places. Massive wild fires in the Pacific Northwest have produced incredible amounts of smoke, some of which has descended upon the Front Range. So too, the blackbirds and others we saw this morning are flocking up getting ready to migrate to other regions, intimately connecting two seemingly separate places. ____________________________________________________
