Sunny and warm. 60°F. 0-3 mph. 19 participants.

We visited some of our usual haunts on this Saturday before Halloween. While bird watching in the cemetery we found something creepy. All of this warm weather does not make it seem like the end of October. We spotted another sulphur butterfly this morning and there were quite a few insects still buzzing around (see them around the red-tailed hawk in the slide show).

Red-Tailed Hawk

Today, we went with the biggest show off. We had two red-tails at two different locations which both posed for us. Other birds of note were brown creeper and red-breasted nuthatch, but in the end it was the red-tail that I remember most about this walk.
