Every Saturday year-round. No reservations required.  Every last Saturday of the month we travel further afield than normal and return a little later.  Bird Walk locations are determined on the morning of the walk.All ages and birding abilities are welcome!

Lots of waterfowl this morning, including the bird of the day. I even discovered an addition to our species list after the walk when I was examining a crowd shot. From the slide show you will see that birds are not the only things we watch in the sky.

Long-Tailed Duck 
  Long-tailed ducks are primarily ocean birds in the winter so we are always happy to see one here in Colorado. This female was diving in the shallows rather
close to shore for a long-tailed duck. Still, we were not too close to the bird and we were unable to get a photo of it. Our image comes from the US Fish and
Wildlife Service.
