It was a beautiful fall/winter? morning today. Bill Eeds, from the Wild Bird Center led the walk this morning to some of the good waterfowl spots in the County. One of the amazing sights they saw was a huge raft of shovelers all whirling around feeding. Then they went back to see the bay-breasted warbler in the Industrial Park where we saw it last week. Thanks, Bill for leading a great walk

Bird of the Day November 16, 2013 Saturday Bird Walk
|
Marsh Wren
Marsh Wren Marsh Wrens are very secretive, but not necessarily quiet. This bird was chattering incessantly. Bill was able to pish out the wren for a brief glimpse. However, no one was able to get a photograph of it so our Bird of the Day image is from US Fish and Wildlife.
