Every Saturday year-round. No reservations required.  Every last Saturday of the month we travel further afield than normal and return a little later.  Bird Walk locations are determined on the morning of the walk.All ages and birding abilities are welcome!

Thanks to Bill Eeds from the Wild Bird Center for leading today's walk. A beautiful walk, but the birds were hiding in the shadows too much. That, unfortunately, is not unusual in the hot part of the summer. This being the holiday weekend, I have included a few of my Fourth of July images to the slideshow. --Steve

Western Tanager      
A lot of western tanagers were about in Gregory Canyon, lots of calls, but few showing themselves. It always amazes me that a super colorful bird like a western tanager can disappear in the high tree shadows.
