I took my large group on a chase for two rare and secretive birds this morning. The two birds were a northern bobwhite which has been reported at East Boulder Rec Center and a least bittern seen recently at Sawhill Ponds. I knew our chances of seeing these birds were slim, but we would see other great birds in our search. That is exactly what happened; no rarities, but a good day anyway. Watch the slideshow for images of the birds and other creatures we saw. View our Saturday, June 15, 2013 Bird Walk
