Today was a special day because we co-sponsored the Walk in the Wild Event out at Walden Ponds Open Space. This event was in celebration of International Migratory Bird Day to raise money for local bird habitat restoration. We started out by having a regular Saturday Bird Walk leaving from the store then we ended up at Walk in the Wild. From there, I led two more bird walks. We had experienced birders, kids, and many folks who had never been on a bird walk. (Can you image that?) It was a great event. The only down-side was my camera battery died and my backup was bad so I did not take a lot of images. Therefore, we don't have as many images for the slideshow, but I did get some great contributions (images that is). View our Saturday, May 18, 2013 Bird Walk
