Members from the Boulder Bird Club joined us this morning. We had a nice walk with even a few mystery birds that wouldn't show themselves, to keep us coming back. Watch the slideshow from today's walk by clicking on the link below. Thanks to both Neal Zaun and Carolyn Beach for contributing wonderful images from the walk this morning.

Bird of the Day
April 13, 2013 Saturday Bird Walk

Eastern Bluebird

Eastern Bluebird
A male Eastern Bluebird was one of the first birds we saw today. It was perched in a tree between the two Twin Lakes. At one point, a blue jay also flew into the tree. The bluebird did not take kindly to that intrusion and chased the jay around until it left. A good sign for possible nesting at Twin Lakes. Thanks to Neal Zaun for providing this week's Bird of the Day image.
