The Thrill of the Hunt

Love to leisurely scan racks and rooms of merchandise in a consignment shop for that perfect discovery?  Are you a professional working woman who could use a wardrobe refresh but is watching her budget? Don't have much time/can't get to the DWB Boutique during regular hours?

DWB recently received 1,000+ pieces of gently-used or never-used women's designer clothing - perfect for the office or for day-to-night. We're holding the release of these pieces into the Boutique, inviting you to be the first to access them at our upcoming "FIRST LOOK for Professional Women" event.

It's a rare opportunity.  Basics, accent pieces, accessories - from Escada, Dana Buchman, Chanel, Armani, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Hermes, St. John and more.  Many designer blouses from $25-$75. Sizing S,M,L.

The Boutique will be open just for you, from 5-7PM.  Shop, relax with cocktails & light bites.  Bring your friends. (Sorry, guys - gals only this time!)

Counterpoint Necklaces
WorkingNecklaces
For the most conservative of outfits, sometimes all that's needed is a statement piece.   If men have their pink ties, or ties with flying tarpon or raging bulls, we ladies can counter with equally diverse neckwear.....

Multitasking

Summertime business meetings (including those over lunch) can be punched up with style.....Here, mostly Escada, with many belts to choose from.
NeutralAccessories
Shoes and bags....ostrich and patent leather, wedges and open toes....our collection includes rarely seen European designers. Shoes in a range of sizing.  (Hint: if you're US 7.5 - a Euro size 38 - you just might strike gold in the hunt).

Putting Your Best Face Forward: Skin Care Treatments and Procedures

"Health and wellness are all related to looking our best.  It doesn't take an arsenal of products and a plastic surgeon on call to look our best.  Just some basic knowledge and maintenance are all that is needed.  How we feel on the outside definitely helps us feel our best on the inside."

Come have lunch with us and hear Catherine's story and best advice for a better looking & feeling you....

SBCStyleShow
 A Sense of Style
Proving ladies like style at any age, recently the women of Sarasota Bay Club came out in record numbers to view a DWB Style Show at lunch in their lovely bayside Dining Room.  Thanks to SBC's Jill Ross and Kathleen Rhem for the invitation and help in coordination.  DWB's own Stylists supreme, Joan Campo-Liga, Chris Sancin, and Vicki Hornberger were all smiles during the post-show aftermath.  Thank you, Ladies!!!

VolunteerReception
"Thanks for All You Do" DWB recently hosted a Volunteer Reception in the Upper Level Galleries to say "Thank You" to our dedicated volunteers, who make everything possible.  Old timers and newcomers alike were welcomed by Volunteer Coordinator Marisa Fowler, who along with staff and Board members spread the good cheer.

  Summertime & 2016 at WBBT

WestcoastBlackTheatre

The Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe schedule includes a summer performance of "The Cotton Club Cabaret", and a packed season for 2015-2016.

Of "The Sam Cooke Story" for spring 2016, Founder and Artistic Director Nate Jacobs says: "Each season, WBTT performs at least one show that I conceive and direct. This year I chose to feature a musical icon who became the first African-American singer to control the rights to his own music. His background is interesting because most people recognize his songs, but few know his personal story."
