Wedding bells will be chiming in June for my son Daniel and his bride-to-be, Jessica Rice. I am thrilled that Daniel is the first of my five children to wed. Jessica is a fine Christian woman who is an RN, getting a Masters in Nutrition at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington, and loves working in health using natural remedies and lifestyle medicine. She is also an accomplished violinist. She is a perfect fit for Daniel, and I know God sent her to my son.

     Let me share the story how they met. Jessica showed up one day at the house and wanted to see BellaVita. She had heard about the lifestyle center, wanted a tour, and to learn more about our 10-Day Cleansing Program. I fixed her some healthy food and spent time getting to know her. I found her to be very pleasant and intelligent with a good personality. In fact, after 20 minutes of sharing, I invited her to work at an upcoming BellaVita session to which she graciously accepted. 

     The fact that Jessica is a young, physically fit, attractive nurse in her twenties really got me thinking: "She would be perfect for my son Daniel." I snuck outside and called Daniel immediately and told him to come meet his new wife. He said, "What are you talking about?" and then asked, "Is she cute?" God gave me prophetic insight that day, and I was teary-eyed and extremely happy when they asked me to officiate at their wedding in June.

      The idea of them marrying is easy, but the hard part about this is that I am losing my son from his position at Modern Manna. Daniel wants to complete his degree in nutrition, and, God willing, receive a Naturopath degree at Bastyr College. He wants to be a greater contribution to Modern Manna in the future and run a wellness center with his new bride.

      Let me tell you about my son Daniel and what he does. First, let me say that he has learned by my side from a very young age about the Medical Missionary work and natural remedies. When I grow up I want to be just like him, because he has a beautiful character. I call him, "My sanctified child." He has the most consistent, loving disposition. 

     Daniel runs the ministry, helps take care of the property, organizes the Health Crusade, helps with each BellaVita program, answers questions on health, orders products, ships out orders, and films and edits video. Imagine losing my right arm as it were. My wife Charmaine and daughter Lauren are pitching in to help, but we desperately need another office person to replace Daniel, or even a dedicated, missionary-minded couple that loves the health message. We know it will take more than one to fill his shoes. Ideally, Charmaine can manage the ministry and help with ministerial duties, but with our schedule and other responsibilities, she can only do so much. We need someone to answer phones, fill orders, duplicate DVDs, and send out products. We also need someone to help with maintenance, yard work, and gardening, and a audio/video person to help us at Modern Manna Media. Multi-tasking qualities are welcome. Yes, Modern Manna is growing, and we need your prayers and donations to advance the cause of God.
