"After these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree, ... till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads" (Rev: 7:1).

     It has been labelled a "Frankenstorm or Monster Storm" -- an appropriate name for Hurricane Sandy that struck the East Coast a day before Halloween! The similarity between the deadly super storm and the "high day" on the Satanic calendar is that they are both part of the devil's plot to deceive and destroy both young and old! While the devil is having his party of destruction where 39 people lost their lives, the good news is that Jesus is at the door!

     "The restraining Spirit of God is even now being withdrawn from the world. Hurricanes, storms, tempests, disasters by sea and by land, follow one another in quick succession. The signs thickening around us, telling of the near approach of the Son of God, are attributed to any other than the true cause" (Maranatha 175). 

     Hurricane Sandy was a super hybrid-storm unlike any others:

     "Calamities will come -- calamities most awful, most unexpected; and these destructions will follow one after another. If there will be a heeding of the warnings that God has given, and if churches will repent, returning to their allegiance, then other cities may be spared for a time. But if men who have been deceived continue in the same way in which they have been walking, disregarding the law of God and presenting falsehoods before the people, God allows them to suffer calamity, that their senses may be awakened" (Maranatha 175).

      Dear friends, Jesus warned us 2,000 years ago that wars and natural disasters would increase right before His coming.

      "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved" (Matthew 24:6-13).

    Did you notice that persecution immediately follows the afore mentioned signs? The Bible says: "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you!"  

      What can we expect in the near future? As the wars and natural disasters increase and magnify, "Satan puts his interpretation upon events, and they [leading men] think, as he would have them, that the calamities which fill the land are a result of Sunday-breaking. Thinking to appease the wrath of God, these influential men make laws enforcing Sunday observance. They think that by exalting this false rest-day higher, and still higher, compelling obedience to the Sunday law, the spurious sabbath, they are doing God service. Those who honor God by observing the true Sabbath are looked upon as disloyal to God, when it is really those who thus regard them who are themselves disloyal, because they are trampling under foot the Sabbath originated in Eden" (Maranatha 176). "Through the two great [papal] errors, the immortality of the soul, and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions" (GC 588). 

     "As men depart further and further from God, Satan is permitted to have power over the children of disobedience. He hurls destruction among men. There is calamity by land and sea. Property and life are destroyed by fire and flood. Satan resolves to charge this upon those who refuse to bow to the idol which he has set up. His agents point to Seventh-day Adventists as the cause of the trouble. 'These people stand out in defiance of law,' they say. 'They desecrate Sunday. Were they compelled to obey the law for Sunday observance, there would be a cessation of these terrible judgments'" (Ibid). 

     Dear reader, the sure word of prophecy warns us that natural disasters will increase. Hurricane Sandy is but a taste of what is to come. Are you prepared? What if you were one of the 375,000 that were told to evacuate in Manhattan with no power, no flights, no subways, and no trains out? Do you have water, food, and backup power? Thousands were running to stores to buy food and water. There were reports of near panic as people fought for jugs of water in local stores. 

    "Four mighty angels are still holding the four winds of the earth. Terrible destruction is forbidden to come in full. The winds will be the stirring up of the nations to one deadly combat, while the angels hold the four winds, forbidding the terrible power of Satan to be exercised in its fury until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads ... The signs of the times give evidence that the judgments of heaven are being poured out, that the day of the Lord is at hand" (Maranatha 175).

      Undoubtedly, someone will write me and ask, "Why are you writing about these things instead of health? You are scaring me!" The reason is because I love you, and that is why I warn you and write about Bible prophecy. Cyclone Sandy is a major wake up call from a merciful God! He is pleading with sinners to turn to Him before the world is destroyed by fire! Remember, Sunday laws are coming!
