It is always an exciting time when a branch of our military celebrates a birthday, so we would like to wish a Happy 239th Birthday to our United States Army! Hooah!
As my family prepares to PCS from Virginia to Hawaii this month, I know that families across this country are getting ready to do the same thing. For those that are embarking on this adventure, check out our PCS-Lodging.com site for a great way to book your accomodations all across the country and be sure to read our "5 Tips for Creating a Fun-Filled PCS Trip" below for ideas on how to make the moving process fun for everyone. If your summer does not include a PCS move, then maybe a vacation is in order and what better way to travel than to utilize Space A flights from military installations around the world. As our family prepares for our fourth trip to Europe, I have shared some of the things we have learned along the way in a hope that they will entice you to take advantage of this great benefit. Let us know what tips you have for securing Space A flights and what exotic locations you have visited.
We continue to expand the resources on our site in an effort to make your next PCS move the easiest yet. Be sure to visit our blog for articles and downloads that will answer many of the pressing questions you may have about buying, selling or renting homes, as well as general relocation information. If you have a topic that you would like for us to cover, please do not hesitate to email us.
Networking with other military families is the best way to gain knowledge about your new duty station, ask for advice on renting, selling or buying homes and even finding creative ways to entertain kids during a pack out and cross country trip. One of the best ways to connect is through social media platforms, so if you are on Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest, we would love to have you join in our discussion so that you can help other military families with your vast knowledge of living the military life.
With over 85% of our staff being military spouses, retired military or military dependents, we have the knowledge and experience that comes with frequent relocation. So please feel free to contact our friendly staff that is on the other end of both our inbox, live chat or phone (866-604-9126). We are happy to be of assistance.

GREAT website! Very effective! Awesome results! Bargain priced! Part of our tenant screening process is using MBO exclusively as that's where the pre-planning tenants go to shop for housing and pre-planning tenants are RESPONSIBLE tenants. We just read your article on 'Tips for Building a Strong Landlord/Tenant Relationship" WOW! We've done all of that stuff on our own instincts right down to the gift basket! One other thing we do that pays BIG dividens is to provide our prospective tenants with a reference list of former tenants along with their e-mail addresses; that provides additional peace of mind to would-be incoming tenants.

Whether you are planning your PCS route or taking a Griswold type family vacation, it can be a great opportunity to see some amazing sights across this great country. Better yet, there are a number of opportunities for military service members and their families to minimize the financial toll of the trip.
National Parks
There are more than 2,000 federal recreation sites across the United States and the National Park Service is offering a free Annual Pass to all military members and dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard, as well as Reserve and National Guard members with valid military ID.

Moving without Orders: Home Hopping in Your Community
Military moves are expensive! Somehow, despite Dislocation Allowance (DLA), reimbursement from a Personally Procured Move (DITY), and even a complete Household Goods (HHG) move by military movers, little costs add up. There's the house hunting trip, for one example, and for another, boarding and daycare during the move for anxious pets and busy children! Even without considering the cost of replacing your curtains, area rugs, and other such items that no longer fit your new space let alone the cost of replacing the random pots, pans, and coffee machines that magically disappear en route, a military relocation is expensive!
