2013's Value of Volunteer Time
The value of volunteer time is one way to measure the impact individuals make with each hour they dedicate to making a difference. Independent Sector releases this important figure for National Volunteer Week, which takes place April 6-13, 2014. The 2013 estimate for the value of a volunteer hour is $22.55 - a $0.41 increase from 2012, up 1.9% from last year. 
Regional Kindergarten Registration Day is April 10
Hopewell-Prince George Smart Beginnings has partnered with area schools to recognize April 10, 2014 as Kindergarten Registration Day, a regional effort to enroll students on time.
