New Statewide Nonprofit Advances Community-focused Small Business and Entrepreneurship

It was recently announced that Conaway Haskins, formerly with Virgina State University and The Cameron Foundation, has been hired as the first executive director for theVirginia Community Economic Network (VCEN). 
Founded in 2013, VCEN is an alliance of public & private sector organizations and practitioners that seeks to demonstrate the collective impact of community economic development, build awareness of innovative and successful practices, collaborate on value-added initiatives, and help small business owners and the organizations who serve them access the resources that they need.

The Grant Professionals Association,Central Virginia Chapter and Southside Community Partners are pleased to host a second series of bi-weekly sessions designed to help writers of grants develop and advance their work in a friendly, supportive environment.
