Finding food, health, housing, and education programs based on need is now fast, friendly, and reliable. With financial support from The Cameron Foundation, Southside Community Partners, and its program ConnectVA, are leveraging the power of AuntBertha.com to facilitate efficient referrals and enhance awareness of resources in our community.  We encourage you to visit the Basic Needs Directory to see for yourself how easy it is.

Ignite Hopewell: Community Inspiration & Enhancement
 
Hopewell Downtown Partnership is hosting Ignite Hopewell, a competition featuring creative entrepreneurs and community members sharing their idea and projects to inspire and enhance Hopewell. The winner of this supportive forum will receive $2500 to help take their idea to the next level. Includes networking and refreshments. Please RSVP to attend on February 27th at 6pm.

Southside Leadership Collaborative
Inaugural Leadership Roundtable Group
Southside Leadership Collaborative Class of 2013 with facilitator Najmah Thomas
Southside Community Partners is offering its second Executive Leadership Collaborative series consisting of five monthly learning circle meetings from Jan. 31st to May 30, 2014. Designed to provide executives with the opportunity to meet with their peers in a confidential, informal setting to discuss current leadership issues.
Using a case study approach, unique to Southside nonprofits, the light agenda encourages professionally facilitated dialogue - with participants sharing advice and guidance on different issues that they deal with on a regular basis. The series includes participation in an online leadership assessment and organizational assessment as well as the opportunity for peer coaching.
Program registration/application closes Thursday Jan 23rd. For more information contact Wendy Austin at waustin@scpartners.org.
