With more people of all ages sharing on more social media platforms every day -- social media is now the number one activity performed online!

 -YouTube reaches more U.S. adults aged 18-34 than any cable network

 -The 55-64 year old age bracket is the fastest growing demographic on Twitter 
 
 -The 45-54 age bracket is the fastest growing demographic on both Facebook and Google+

 -Every second 2 new members join LinkedIn!

ConnectVA's upcoming Social Media for Nonprofits Conference will help you understand how to navigate generational differences and similarities to make social media work for your organization.  Keynote speaker, Matt Thornhill, founder and president of generational think tank, the Boomer Project will provide participants with a deeper understanding and appreciation of generational mindsets. Learn social media strategies that cut across all generations.

This session will guide attendees through the eligibility determination and application process. Technical Assistance (TA) grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year and can result in awards of up to $15,000 to qualified nonprofit organizations physically located in the Tri-Cities Southside Virginia region.
