The Strategic Plan is Dead. Long Live Strategy.
If your image of a strategic plan is a "thick binder, gathering dust on a shelf next to other thick binders from five and ten years past, you're not alone," begins an article in Stanford Social Innovation Review. It goes on to encourage an adaptive approach to strategy that is more effective in navigating an ever changing landscape.
Learn more about how to increase the effectiveness of your strategic planning efforts in a workshop tomorrow with Greg Brittingham, from the VCU Performance Management Group. Greg will share what he has learned through more than 30 years facilitating planning activities for nonprofit organizations and public sector agencies in the highly interactive workshop: Gain an understanding of the strategic planning process relative to nonprofit organizations, ways to adapt the process to fit your unique needs, the roles of board members and staff and practical keys for success.
