Fort Lee to Host Public Listening Session
Community input will help Army leaders make informed decisions on restructuring.

As the U.S. Army works to implement a new defense strategy, Fort Lee is hosting a Force Restructure Community Listening Session at 6 p.m., April 17th at the Army Logistics University, Bld. 12420, on post. This session is open to the public and is designed to assess the potential impact of major force structure changes, including reductions and potential realignments, on the communities surrounding the post. Community input will enable the Army to make the best decisions about reorganization and mitigate the impact on local communities. Subject matter experts from Department of Army will answer questions and consolidate comments to take back to senior Army leaders for consideration before final decisions are made. They will also provide an overview of the stationing decision process, focusing on the tools and factors the Army looks at when reorganizing the force. For more information, contact the Fort Lee Public Affairs Office at (804)734-7451.
