Hopkins University confirms the major economic presence of Virginia nonprofits as the third largest employer among Virginia's industries amassing $39.2 billion in revenues and $37.9 billion in spending.Building and strengthening the business of doing good is the goal of the new Business Resource Network and its inaugural event this Thursday, the Nonprofit Resource Fair. This event will provide a unique opportunity for shared learning and networking among professionals from nonprofit organizations and local businesses benefiting both sectors. Nonprofits that partner with business succeed in furthering their mission, developing resources, strengthening programs, and thriving in a competitive market. Similarly, businesses that partner with nonprofits see increases in customer preference, improved employee morale, greater brand identity and stronger corporate culture.
Build your business relationships at the upcoming  Regional Nonprofit Resource Fair this Thursday, Feb 7. Participants will also hear from a local panel of community investment stakeholders as well as nationally-renowned speaker and author, Penelope Cagney.
