Welcome to the new format of the Southside Community Partners (SCP) E-Newsletter
As SCP transitions to ConnectVA, a merger of ConnectSouthside with ConnectRichmond creating a stronger regional nonprofit and civic hub that connects Central Virginia, SCP will continue to serve as the local resource hub for learning, knowledge sharing and collaboration for the Tri-Cities/Southside Virginia community-based organizations and civic-minded people. Through its tools and resources -- including this newsletter, a new website under development
, expanding Learning & Leadership opportunities and a robust information/knowledge center -- SCP will work with the community to cultivate and support the most effective nonprofit community of practice possible in order to improve the quality of life for all of us in the Southside region. The new "multi-centric" framework of ConnectVA will serve to connect the local networks, growing in strength and importance, to learn from each other and to network more broadly to affect and elevate key issues and opportunities as a whole.
Like the region we serve, SCP will continue to change and evolve to provide the resources and services that best fit the needs and preferences of our local network to positively impact those we serve.
