The report finds that Virginia's nonprofit sector is the state's third largest employer, delivering the majority of available health, cultural, and social services that advance the overall quality of life in the Commonwealth. The nonprofit sector's financial footprint includes $39.2 billion amassed in revenue, $37.9 billion in spending, $78.0 billion in assets, and $313 million in income tax revenue for state government.
