"For unto us a son is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders..." Isaiah 9:6a
We praise God for another calendar year at Manhattan Christian College. Students are finishing up finals and heading home. The faculty are busy grading, and the staff are busy finishing tasks before the new year begins. We are so grateful for each of you - your relationship with us is a blessing.
May your Christmas be filled with the wonder and adoration of our Savior, and your new year celebration be full of asking God for His way in 2014. Merry Christmas from MCC!

Corner Sign Completed!
|
|
Blake Sabiston, '07 grad and former MCC Alumni Director, helped his class start a giving project in May 2007. Through the generosity of several from that class, along with partners in our 2012 MCC NOW Alumni Campaign, a beautiful limestone sign has been erected on the corner of 14th Ave. and Fairchild St. (southeast corner of MCC's campus).
In the weeks to come, lighting and landscaping will be added as well. We will be sure to post pictures on our website and on the facebook alumni page as the signage continues to take shape.
Thank you, ministry partners!

Mary Flin
Years at MCC: Off and on - started in 1978, and graduated in May 1986 Degree: BS in Bible/Christian Ed. with emphasis in Counseling Current City: Topeka, KS Family: Husband Ross went home to be with the Lord in 2003, a daughter, Anna, and her husband, Edwin. Career: By day Mary works for the KS Rehabilitation Services. During off hours, Mary is the site coordinator for the Urban Ministry Institute of Topeka (TUMI-Topeka), and also serves in the county jail through Sunday morning services. How did MCC make a difference in your life? MCC allowed me to study Scripture in depth and to "sit at the feet" of professors and instructors who knew the Word. I have been given the training to in turn help train a new army of urban leaders - from the city, for the city. I will always be grateful to MCC for the Biblical and spiritual investment in my life.

Ireland Spence
Hometown: Topeka, KS Degree Major: Family Ministry and Counseling Future Goals: First of all, I'm going to graduate, and then get married! In general, I'd like to move somewhere new with my husband Ian, find a job I love helping people, have children, and raise them to love and serve God and others. How has MCC made a difference in your life? MCC has introduced me to some of the greatest people I have ever known. From the faculty and staff to the students I have shared a classroom with, I have learned more about Jesus, His Word, and how to love the way He loves than I ever would have imagined.

| ICOM Blessings in 2013 |
|
Kansas City's Bartle Hall Convention Center was the place to be Nov. 14-17, as the International Conference on Missions (ICOM - formerly the National Missionary Convention) was held. Thousands of people from all over the world came together to worship, learn, grow, and be challenged to be God's people globally. MCC was privileged to partner with the conference, and it was a great blessing to help in many different ways. Notably, almost 2,000 youth participated in "SICOM", ICOM's version of our own "Oasis" youth conference. We thank God for our amazing admissions team and all the youth pastors who made that possible. Thanks also to EVERYONE who attended MCC's Friday evening "Friends and Family" Reception.
