Wichita Alumni Event a success!

Around 45 Wichita area Alumni made their way to Meads Corner Coffeehouse in downtown Wichita on Thursday, April 19 for our first regional alumni event.

Frequent comments heard were "I haven't seen these people in such a long time" and "this is great to be able to get together again".

The dessert reception featured coffeehouse treats and brief comments by Alumni Association Advisory Council Member Steve Slack ('85), , President Ingram ('86), and MCC Board Member Mark Posson ('88).

Our next regional alumni event will be held this Fall in the Kansas City area.  Details coming soon!

2012 MCC Graduation

On Saturday, May 5, family and friends joined MCC faculty, staff, and students in cheering on 65 of our 77 grads who took part in MCC's 2012 Commencement celebration.
Many of our grads are moving ahead with everything from serving overseas to getting married and starting new lives together.  Others like our LEAD graduates will continue working and raising families and/or move on to pursue higher education.
Please pray for the future of our graduates - that they would be open to God's calling and continue to love, serve, and honor Him with their lives!

How did MCC make a difference in your life?
MCC taught me to learn, as I was constantly told to be a lifelong learner.  I learned the process of digging through everything to find what I can know to be truth.  I also examined worldviews, testing some and keeping them and changing some over time.

Alumni Soccer and Baseball - coming soon!
In just a few weeks, it will be time to pull your cleats and shin guards out of the closet. It will be time to run some laps and do some stretches if your regular workouts have taken a backseat to other life events.
Alumni soccer and baseball players - make plans now to join us for our annual alumni games! (unfortunately, our volleyball women will be on the road that weekend)
Soccer games: Friday, August 24 at Anneberg Park
Baseball game: Saturday, August 25 at the Eisenhower Baseball Complex

Talk to all your friends (players and non-players), and let's have a great year playing our games, fellowshipping and blessing the Lord!
Look for details soon!

What do you enjoy most about being at MCC?
I really like the "family" atmosphere at MCC.  Everyone is so caring and wants the best educational experience for the students.  I enjoy seeing the growth of the students from the time they are freshmen until they
                                      graduate and move on!
Attention 1996-2011
MCC GRADS!
That alumni survey you received in the mail - you know the one...
MCC is going through our evaluation for the Higher Learning Commission that takes place every few years, and your feedback is an integral part of our data.  If you could please fill that out and return to MCC by Friday, July 6, we would be very grateful (thanks to those of you who've already filled it out).
We appreciate you!

And so...

2012-2013 promises to be an exciting year .  God continues to bless MCC with quality students and committed faculty and staff who are working together to live out
MCC's Mission: To
educate, equip, and enrich Christian leaders. As alumni, we can be proud of our alma mater and look for ways to stay connected, encourage one another in this journey called life, and support the future Christian leaders that come behind us.

In August, all alums will receive a postcard of events.  Please pray over the events and take the opportunity to join us on campus!
