Honoring "Jiggs" Wilson - A Man Who Loved God and MCC
Donald "Jiggs" Wilson
1915-2011

"Jiggs" Wilson was an amazing man - just ask anyone who knew him. When he passed away on February 28, 2011, he left behind a legacy of faith, hope, and perseverance that will not be forgotten.
Jiggs and his wife, Frances, lived on a farm near Alta Vista, KS, just a few miles south of Manhattan. The couple and their children attended a small country church and were first introduced to MCC through students and alumni who would come and serve the small congregation. Several of their children chose MCC for their college education, and three generations later, 15 members of their family have attended MCC with their oldest great-grandchild being a current student.
Jiggs and Frances also invested their earthly resources into the training of Christian leaders.
From an endowed scholarship that was set up in 2004, to underwriting the new chapel in Jolliffe Hall, the Wilsons have given faithfully and sacrificially over the years to advance God's Kingdom through MCC.
Jiggs knew he was a vessel that God could use for His glory - and his legacy will continue. We know that Jiggs has heard those special words "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

"We are Family" Alumni Reunion recap!
On April 29-30, MCC hosted close to 120 alumni and their spouses and families. We ate together, worshipped together, laughed together, reminisced together, took pictures, learned together, ate together...(yeah, there was a lot of eating going on in a 24-hour period)! Thanks to all who sacrificed time and resources to be on campus! If you missed this one, don't worry. We'll make sure to plan another in the near future! To see pictures from the reunion, go to www.mccks.edu/alumni or see them on our MCC Alumni Facebook Group! (please join if you haven't yet!) |

2011 Graduation = Priceless!
On May 7, 2011, God blessed MCC with a beautiful day and 73 graduates were granted degrees. Youth Pastor Todd Hutchison ('92) from Westlink Christian Church in Wichita gave a fantastic commencement address, and families enjoyed themselves before, during and after the ceremony. Several graduates and families also attended the graduation luncheon held right before commencement. Please pray for our new grads! |

How has MCC made a difference in your life? MCC has made an impact in my life in several ways. First, MCC has taught me the meaning of truly living for Christ by setting an example that models Christ and His life. Secondly, studying at a Bible College and having your textbooks deal directly with Scripture really challenged me in my walk with God and really caused me to seek Him outside of my regular studies. This was an extremely pivotal time in my life and I was encouraged to grow in my intimacy with Christ. MCC was a great experience and I was blessed to make some life-long friends. |
