Dear Friends,
Spring is in the air, and it's great to see the students running around in their shorts enjoying God's creation!
We're now into the final push of the semester at MCC.  Graduation is May 8, and once again we will be sending out young men and women (just like we were!) to penetrate the world with the message of hope in Jesus Christ.
I hope your vision for the kingdom hasn't changed - or if it has, I hope it's been deepened and grown.  Hebrews 10:24-25 is a great reminder for us: "Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching."  Be encouraged!

God is good!  This year, 34 students on 5 different teams from MCC traveled to SafePlace in Chicago, ILL., The Bridge in Joplin, MO., Rocky Point, Mexico, Lakeview Christian Camp in KS, and Mexico City, Mexico to be the hands and feet of Jesus.  The testimonies were great to hear - God blessed their efforts and allowed them to be fruitful in their work! Thanks to all who helped support the students financially and/or with prayer!

What do you enjoy most about being/teaching at MCC?  I am passionate about helping people grow in their response to God, worshipping with all they are - heart, soul, mind, and strength.  Teaching at MCC gives me an opportunity not only to grow alongside my students in our worship, but also to see them go out into churches and lead biblically-grounded, God-honoring, intelligent, passionate worship.

How has MCC made a difference in your life?
MCC gave me the tools to reflect upon what it meant to be engaged in ministry.  They equipped and enabled me to continue a life-long learning process.  I had excellent role models in the faculty such as Steve Isom, Hiram Cassel, Orris Doty, Virgil Warren, Donn Leach, and others who taught by example what it meant to be a person in Christ!

Future Goals: Not sure yet!  Possibly an internship - waiting for God to show me where he wants me to go and what He wants me to do.  I have goals to get married and raise a family.  Other than that, I really just want to travel Europe and beat the MCC basketball team in next year's alumni game!
How has MCC made a difference in your life?  I have grown up at MCC - I think I have matured because of the involvement and opportunity at MCC, not just in a knowledge sense, but also in just maturing into more of what a man of God should be.  MCC has given me resources that I will be able to use for the rest of my life.  I have gained so many friends that I know I will have relationships for years to come.

Many of you know Jolene Rupe, MCC's asst. to the Vice Pres. for Institutional Advancement.  She has put together a couple of videos on MCC in general and the transformation of Jolliffe Hall.  Please click on these links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6ow_eu8T-U and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwXPEw3B_cc&feature=related to see the great things God is continuing to do at MCC!
