Jolliffe Hall Update

God is good!  Jolliffe Hall continues to progress -a gigantic crane was brought in right before Christmas to start the steel work for the inside.
The work is going well, and there is evidence of the chapel stage and areas for seating.  Please pray that the Lord would provide the workers with weather warm enough to work consistently.j hall crane

How did MCC make a difference in your life?
"MCC laid a tremendous foundation of Christian roots for my walk with Him as a Christian leader in today's church.  It also opened the doors for me to attend Midwestern Baptist Seminary and complete my Master's of Church Music in May, 2006.  I thank God for the many blessings I gained from the knowledge learned from my days at MCC."

Future Goals: To be a good husband and father, and to be actively involved in the spreading of the Gospel to those who have not heard.

How has MCC made a difference in your life?
"MCC has given me opportunities to be actively involved in ministries like being a resident assistant in the dorm and a member of the MCC ambassadors (public relations group).
I have also been challenged by the classes that I have taken, and even more specifically, by my Directed Field Experience, where I had the opportunity to travel and work in Nairobi, Kenya the Summer of 2008.  My eyes were opened to some of the problems and needs of this world that I normally would have been blinded to.
God has definitely used MCC to broaden and deepen my passion for the lost!"
Our connections with one another are important - we are the body of Christ!  Let's continue to uphold each other no matter where we are and pray for one another!

"In my classes, I try to challenge students to develop a passion, think critically, and apply what they have learned.  Knowing that the person of Christ is being shared by family ministry majors around the globe is both satisfying and convicting."

"MCC NOW" Campaign
2009!!!
mcc now students
The first annual "MCC NOW" campaign was held Feb. 9-13, 2009.  The purpose of the campaign was to generate excitement, unity, and pride for MCC amongst all faculty, staff, and students, and support a campus project.
To be part of the campaign, each MCC family member was asked to give a minimum of $15.00 that would go towards nice, industrial-style furniture to furnish the student lounge on the 2nd floor of the newly renovated Jolliffe Hall, which is scheduled to be completed this Fall.
Faculty, Staff and students  saw the vision of coming together for the cause of Christ, and raised $4,612.00 for the project.  STUCO generously donated another $2,500.00 for the cause, making the grand total $7,112.00!  Praise the Lord!
