January continues with another busy week! This week kicks off the annual Pennies for Patients charity drive as well as Winter Formal Ticket sales. Both of these will remain constant for 3 weeks!
This Thursday and Friday at lunch is the Spring Club Fair. Clubs will be looking for new members to join. Stop by the Old Gym at lunch on these days to check out any clubs of interest to you.

The deadline has been extended to THIS FRIDAY!
Please submit your designs to ssearle@nusd.org
A winner will be chosen and submitted to Snapchat,.
If Snapchat approves the artwork, we will award the winner with $100. If Snapchat does not approve it, we will submit our 2nd place winner, and they will earn the $100, and so on.

Fashion Show 2016
Art Contest
DEADLINE THIS FRIDAY!
Art Contest entries are due THIS FRIDAY January 15th by email (ssearle@nusd.org) or physically dropped off to Mrs. Searle's classroom 3601. Entries must be in black and white and no larger than 8.5 x 11 inches. Winner receives a $100 prize and 2 free tickets to the Fashion Show (March 26, 2016). |

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK:
Daelin Waschke
JV Boys Soccer
Daelin played a great game, scored a goal and had a couple assists. He got knocked down and fouled throughout the game, yet he never complained or gave up. Daelin was fouled and did not give up on the ball or play and it resulted in a goal. He is an amazing asset to the JV soccer team.

Pennies for Patients
January 11th - 28th
5th period class competition
Each year Novato High participates in the Pennies for Patients charity fundraiser to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Last year NHS raised $1,001.29!
The winning class will be treated to a pizza lunch during class!
Let's see if we can beat out last year's totals!

NHS Open House
Save the Date:
Thursday, Jan. 21st from 6:00-8:00pm
This will be a MINIMUM DAY
at school to allow teachers to prepare
We will be showcasing the best of NHS with student presentations and displays in every department!
This is a wonderful opportunity to see the great things going on at NHS, talk with your student's teachers, and check out the class offerings for next year!
