Yoga for teens

I'm super excited to share this news !

There is a relatively new yoga studio near Novato high that is offering yoga for teens on Wednesdays at 5:30-6:30 for only $5.00 a student.

We had the cross country team practice there on Friday and it was well received; I think almost 30 kids - boys and girls showed up.

Yoga brings so many positive aspects for these sports players - including stretches for preventative injuries!

Please help me spread the word.

Melissa is the owner of the studio and is so excited to take this on.
Here is a picture of the kids from Friday!

SO PROUD OF THEM FOR THEIR ENTHUSIASM !!

Free Sports at Dominican

Hello,

I hope the year is off to a great start for you and your families!  I am happy to share information about a great after school sports program for Marin middle and high school students offered by Dominican University of California.  This free sports program, being held in the new Dominican sports facility, Allen Athletics Complex, offers sports programs, sport clinics, and open gym time. Additionally, they offer transportation from Terra Linda and San Rafael high schools and possibly other central locations  Attached is the schedule in both English and Spanish.  The program currently runs from 3:30 to 5:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The program was for high schools students last year and they have now expanded middle student students.  All students from Marin are invited.  This is a great opportunity for kids to play sports and an especially good opportunity for families who may not be able to afford to pay for sports clinics or recreation programs for their kids.  Please share with the parents in your schools.

If you need additional information, please contact the Cory Hansen, the Coordinator, at cory.hansen@dominican.edu or feel free to contact my office if we can assist in any way.
