Xi Expects New Chapter in Aerospace Development
Sunday marks China's first-ever "Space Day." It's also the 46th anniversary of the successful launch of the country's first satellite, 'Dong Fang Hong' or 'The East is Red.' In an instruction to the occasion, Xi asked space scientists and engineers to "seize the strategic opportunity and keep innovating to make a greater contribution to the country's overall growth and the welfare of mankind."

China Issues Guidelines on Robotics Development
China's central authorities have laid out a plan to help develop the robotics industry, which it hoped will see a tripling of robotic production in China over the next 5 years. The plan has been jointly issued by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission. In it, it calls for technological breakthroughs to be made in developing the key components of robot, as well as high-end robots themselves, on top of raising the overall quality and quantity of the robots sold from China to the rest of the world.

China to Revitalize Northeast Rustbelt
China will rejuvenate its northeast rustbelt region through more reforms and economic restructuring, according to a policy document released Tuesday. State-owned enterprises (SOEs) will be restructured, private firms will receive more support and regional cooperation will drive development, according to the document jointly published by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council.
