China Develops Key Component of World's First Fourth-Generation Nuclear Power Plant
On April 6, the digital control system (DCS) of the world's first commercial high-temperature gas-cooled reactor (HTGR) nuclear power station passed its final tests and is now ready to be delivered for use. The successful development of the HTGR will greatly raise China's capacity in nuclear power plants and boost export. China has already signed agreements with Saudi Arabia and the UAE regarding co-construction of HTGR nuclear power plants.
