China Focus: China Takes New Steps to Push Mass Entrepreneurship, Innovation

As China gears up to unleash the full potential of innovation, a powerful tool that could reverse the economic slowdown and help restructuring, it released a guideline on Tuesday. In addition to financial support and tax incentives, the guideline also suggested governments at all levels to purchase innovation products and services from start-up companies to support their development.

China to Launch First Electric Satellite in 2020

China plans to launch its first electric propulsion communication satellite into orbit around the year 2020, indicating that China has squeezed into the international electric propulsion communication satellite market following the United States, Russia, Europe and Japan. Wang Min, deputy chief designer of the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) communication satellite, was quoted by Xinhua as saying that the satellite is designed to provide broadband communication services to China and its neighboring regions.
