Highlights of China's Central Economic Work Conference 2014

China concluded its Central Economic Work Conference on Thursday, putting in place a roadmap for furthering the economic reforms first called for at last year's Third Plenum. The conference featured remarks from top leaders, including President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang and reaffirmed China's commitment to a "new normal" of slower but more sustainable economic growth.

China Launches Yaogan-25 Remote Sensing Satellite on 201st Long March Mission

A Chinese Long March-4C rocket carrying the Yaogan-25 remote sensing satellite blasts off from the launch pad at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Jiuquan, northwest China's Gansu Province on Dec. 11, 2014. It was the 201st mission for the Long March rocket technology. Yaogan satellites are mainly used for scientific experiments, natural resource surveys, crop yield estimates and disaster relief.
