China's Becoming More Innovative: Report
A report released on Friday placed China 19th in a ranking of 40 major countries based on their innovative ability in 2013. China climbs one place in the annual report by the Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development, which attributed the improvement to higher knowledge-generating capability and better environment for innovation.

China Launches Experimental Satellite
实践十一号06星由长二丙运载火箭发射成功
China successfully launched an experimental satellite into preset orbit from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in its northwestern desert on Monday morning. The Shijian-11-06 was boosted by a Long March-2C carrier rocket at 10:58 Beijing Time.
