National Defense University professor and PLA Air Force pilot Wu Guohui stated that China will develop a stealth bomber. According to Wu, development of a long-range bomber is a gap in China's aircraft development, but one that can give new capabilities to the PLA Air Force.

According to the Party Secretary of the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, the new Long March 5 and Long March 7 launch vehicles will launch before June 2015 from the new Wenchang Launch Center on Hainan. Liang also revealed that China will conduct 14 launches in 2014 and 30 launches in 2015.

Five CAS Innovation Centers of Excellence Open to Forge the High Ground of International Innovation
The Chinese Academy of Sciences has established five innovation centers of excellence. The plan for these centers was announced in 2014 and is intended to promote systemic innovation by encouraging the integration of mission, teams, and platforms to form an "innovation high ground." These centers will make up no more than one-third of CAS's research institutes.
