Hillary Rodham Clinton released
Hard Choices, the inside account of the crises, choices and challenges she faced during her four years as America's 67th Secretary of State, and how those experiences drive her views of the future. "All of us face hard choices in our lives," Hillary Rodham Clinton writes at the start of this personal chronicle of years at the center of world events. "Life is about making such choices. Our choices and how we handle them shape the people we become."
There will be a BIG Screen for watching Hillary Rodham Clinton and Vivien Jennings on stage and In Conversation, so that each patron in the house will have a good view.
Photos will be permitted before and after the Conversation. You can bring cameras and smartphones to take photos.
Event Security Guidelines:
Rainy Day Books advises that you bring only yourself and your Ticket to this Event, and that you leave all other personal property including purses in your vehicle or home. Bring your Photo Identification. Anticipate Security Screening and Credential Checks before Admittance. Purses will be screened which will delay your entry into the Event.
Make sure you arrive BEFORE 4:30 PM on Sunday.
Please plan for adequate time for parking and arrival as there is a huge World Cup watching Event at Kansas City Power & Light District that will overlap our Event.
Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland is located at 1228 Main Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64105.
Each paid patron will receive an Autographed Hardcover of
Hard Choices. Books must be picked up at The Midland Event (no rain checks).
About the Author: Hillary Rodham Clinton served as the 67th U.S. Secretary of State from 2009 until 2013, after nearly four decades in public service. Her "smart power" approach to foreign policy repositioned American diplomacy and development for the 21st century. Clinton played a central role in restoring America's standing in the world, reasserting the United States as a Pacific power, imposing crippling sanctions on Iran and North Korea, responding to the Arab Awakening and negotiating a ceasefire in the Middle East. Earlier, as First Lady and Senator from New York, she was a champion of human rights, democracy, and opportunities for women and girls. Clinton also worked to provide health care to millions of children, create jobs and opportunity, and support first responders who risked their lives at Ground Zero. In her historic campaign for President, Clinton won 18 million votes.
