Delegate Assembly Set
We've been spreading word since November that there will be an assembly in the summer of 2013. We are happy to announce that dates have been set! MLNNA's 2013 assembly will be held at the Malvern Retreat Center, just outside of Philadelphia, from July 18-21. We will begin with dinner and fellowship around 7 p.m. on the 18th and conclude with lunch around 1:00 p.m. on the 21st. As a delegate assembly, we are asking communities to send two representatives. So please consider attending on behalf of your community. And communities, please consider discerning who you might send. There will be limited space for individuals not affiliated with communities but we definitely want representation by as many facets of our lay family as possible. So if you're interested in attending, please contact Rudy Reyes via email or by calling 574-631-0694. Communities will receive information as it becomes available and registration materials are forthcoming. While details need to be finalized, registration will be approximately $200 per person. Attendees (hopefully with support from their communities) are responsible for their registration and transportation. Questions about this assembly and its format can be directed to Rudy Reyes at the contact information above. |

Try some of these suggestions from Bro. Tom Giardino's book, The Promise and the Path:
- Be an attractive community
- Embody the Word/Good News in your community
- Organize wisely
- Meet regularly
- Have regular evaluations
- Have a mentor or spiritual companion
- Stay connected to the larger Marianist family

Dayton area Marianists welcome Savio and Hazel Franco.
Savio and Hazel are from Mumbai, India. They will be staying at the University of Dayton, where Savio is starting as a Research Scholar in the Doctoral Program at the School of Education.
Savio and Hazel have been associated with the Marianists in Bangalore, India, where they worked with Marianist Scholastics, Aspirants and Leaders in various formation-related activities. In their own words, "To be formed by Mary and to work for her Mission - the Marianist vocation is a special calling to live out our lives for Mary."
They have been warmly welcomed by the Micah community in Dayton, who generously helped in organizing things for their apartment. Savio and Hazel say, "Like 'Christmas Elves', they worked hard behind the scenes, so that when we arrived in the apartment, it was all set up beautifully"
