Greetings Art Lovers:

The New Year frequently inspires new beginnings and a more meaningful approach to life in the coming months. We can't think of a better way to make a difference than volunteering. There are many organizations that would appreciate your helping hands, including Arts Mid-Hudson. If you are considering volunteering, we would welcome your help.

The weekend events begins early with an opening on Friday in Woodstock of  the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild
's member exhibit, Unum Sumus.

Saturday enjoy Cocoon Theatre's Birthday celebration with performances at Cunneen-Hackett Theatre in Poughkeepsie beginning at noon.

Asian Influence opens with a reception at the Arts Mid-Hudson gallery exhibiting artworks by eight artists inspired by the culture and traditions of Asia - Saturday, 5:00-7:00 p.m.. The exhibit is on through January 31.

Artists, there are many new opportunities for you to check out on our webpage including an outdoor sculpture exhibit, jobs, a youth scholarship, and live/work space. Check back frequently since opportunities come and go - we look forward to seeing your work out there!

THE MUSIC MAN

When con-man Harold Hill comes to the quaint town of River City, Iowa, promising a children's band to keep the children out of mischief, the town falls for his scheme.  But town librarian, Marion Paroo, is a bit more skeptical.  With hit songs like, "Goodnight My Someone," "76 Trombones," "My White Knight," and "Till There Was You," The Music Man is sure to keep audiences singing long after the curtain closes.
